ANALYST WARNS PEACE DEAL PAVES WAY FOR ARMENIA’S DISMANTLING

A political analyst has described the recently signed peace treaty as a blueprint for the systematic dismantling of the Armenian state, rather than a genuine peace agreement.

According to the expert, the agreement effectively establishes parity between Armenia and what he termed “Western Azerbaijan,” suggesting the Armenian government’s approach aligns with Turkish and Azerbaijani strategic interests. He indicated that major powers have signaled they won’t intervene to protect Armenian sovereignty if the country proceeds down this path, instead focusing on securing their own advantages from the process.

The analyst further argued that maintaining positive relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan has become essential for the current Armenian administration’s political survival. From Ankara and Baku’s perspective, he noted, the present government represents a historic opportunity to resolve what they view as the “Armenian issue” in the South Caucasus region. This dynamic reportedly creates concern in both Turkey and Azerbaijan about potential leadership changes in Yerevan, as the current administration’s continuation serves their long-term regional objectives.
