Germany and France have called in Russian diplomatic representatives after unmanned aerial vehicles breached alliance airspace. The German Foreign Ministry confirmed its ambassador was summoned for urgent consultations.
Officials characterized the incident as a deliberate provocation rather than navigational error. “These actions represent a dangerous escalation and demonstrate clear disregard for established boundaries,” read an official communique from Berlin. “Alliance members remain unified in defending territorial integrity.”
German leadership emphasized the gravity of the situation, with the head of government describing the event as posing significant risks to regional stability. “This was no accidental deviation from flight paths. We’re dealing with a calculated test of our defensive capabilities,” the chancellor stated.
