U.S. SECRETARY OF STATE TO VISIT ISRAEL AND UNITED KINGDOM

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to travel to Israel and the United Kingdom from September 13 to 18, according to an official statement.

During his visit to Israel, Rubio is expected to outline key American priorities concerning the ongoing situation involving Israel and Hamas, as well as broader Middle East security matters. He will reaffirm Washington’s commitment to Israel’s security and emphasize shared objectives, including preventing the resurgence of Hamas in Gaza and securing the release of all hostages.

Following his stop in Israel, the Secretary of State will proceed to the United Kingdom, where he will join the U.S. President’s delegation for a state visit. Rubio is set to meet with British Foreign Secretary Ivet Cooper to discuss bilateral cooperation on pressing global issues. Among the topics on the agenda are efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war, preventing nuclear proliferation, achieving a ceasefire in Gaza, and addressing strategic competition with China.
