YEREVAN – The foreign ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands have held comprehensive discussions aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between their nations, according to diplomatic sources.
During the meeting, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Dutch counterpart David Van Wel explored avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors. Officials focused particularly on expanding economic ties and business connections alongside ongoing political dialogue.
Minister Mirzoyan acknowledged Dutch support in developing Armenia’s commercial capabilities and facilitating access to European markets. The Netherlands’ financial contributions through international financial institutions were also recognized as significant to Armenia’s economic development.
The Armenian side emphasized the importance of its partnership with the Netherlands within the broader context of Armenia-European Union relations. Discussions highlighted ongoing efforts to deepen this partnership through existing EU mechanisms and strengthen Armenia’s resilience.
The ministers also addressed cooperation on multilateral platforms and exchanged perspectives on current international and regional developments. The talks included consideration of recent diplomatic progress in the South Caucasus region.
