ARMENIAN SECURITY COUNCIL SECRETARY MEETS WITH NATO PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY PRESIDENT

YEREVAN – Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan held discussions with Marcos Perestrello, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, during an official meeting on Monday.

The talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Armenia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, with particular attention given to the customized partnership program currently under development.

Grigoryan outlined the strategic implications of the Washington Treaty signed earlier this month, emphasizing the economic benefits expected from regional transportation corridor initiatives. Both officials examined how improved connectivity could create new trade opportunities.

The meeting also covered multiple topics of mutual concern regarding regional stability and global security challenges. The dialogue reflected ongoing efforts to deepen Armenia’s engagement with European security institutions while addressing shared international priorities.

The discussions mark another step in Armenia’s evolving relationship with NATO structures as the country continues to diversify its foreign policy and security partnerships.
