ARMENIAN OPPOSITION FIGURE ACCUSES GOVERNMENT OF CONCEALING PRE-WAR NEGOTIATION DOCUMENTS

A senior opposition leader has leveled serious accusations against the current administration, claiming it deliberately withheld critical diplomatic documents from public scrutiny. Levon Zurabyan, deputy chairman of the Armenian National Congress, asserted that authorities concealed negotiation records from April and June 2019 that would reveal the government’s strategic approach toward regional diplomacy.

According to Zurabyan’s social media statement, the administration avoided public debate about these documents even after the dissolution of the Minsk Group, suggesting officials feared exposure of their true intentions. The opposition figure characterized government representatives as “serial deceivers” who misled the public before, during, and after recent military conflicts.

Zurabyan maintained that full disclosure of the 2019 documents would eliminate any need for further debate, as the truth would become self-evident. He suggested the concealed materials would demonstrate that authorities had predetermined outcomes that compromised national interests under the guise of reconciliation efforts.

The allegations come amid ongoing political tensions regarding the government’s handling of recent regional conflicts and diplomatic initiatives. Opposition forces continue to demand transparency about negotiation strategies employed during critical periods preceding armed hostilities.
