YEREVAN – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held discussions with Miryana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting focused on pressing humanitarian matters, including the release of Armenian prisoners of war and detained civilians. The closure of access to the ICRC’s office in Azerbaijan was also addressed.
Both officials expressed hope that recent diplomatic progress between Armenia and Azerbaijan could help resolve these humanitarian challenges.
