IRAN BACKS ARMENIA-AZERBAIJAN RECONCILIATION EFFORTS

The Iranian government has formally expressed its endorsement of ongoing diplomatic efforts to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. During a high-level international gathering, Iran’s head of state emphasized the critical importance of regional stability through peaceful dialogue.

“We firmly believe that regional prosperity must be founded on mutual cooperation, confidence-building measures, and collaborative development initiatives,” stated the Iranian leader in his address to the global assembly. “In alignment with this principle, we support the current reconciliation process between the two neighboring nations.”

The declaration comes amid continued international engagement in the South Caucasus region, where various global powers have shown interest in facilitating lasting peace agreements. Iranian officials have consistently advocated for diplomatic solutions to regional conflicts, positioning themselves as proponents of peaceful coexistence among neighboring states.

The statement reinforces Iran’s longstanding position favoring stability in the region and highlights the continuing international attention on the normalization process between the two countries.
