MOSCOW – During a major international nuclear energy forum, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced his country’s readiness to assist partner nations in developing nuclear power infrastructure, extending a specific offer to Armenia.
Speaking at the event, Lukashenko credited close collaboration with Russia for enabling Belarus to achieve its own nuclear capabilities. He emphasized that the partnership now possesses the expertise to support the construction of power stations beyond its borders.
“We have gained significant experience and can guarantee the quality of these projects together with our Russian partners,” Lukashenko stated. “We are prepared to begin work in any interested country, including Armenia, should its leadership give the confirmation.”
The announcement positions Belarus as an emerging player in the international nuclear energy sector, leveraging technology and knowledge transferred from Russia. The offer comes as several nations are considering nuclear power to diversify their energy sources and enhance energy security.
