YEREVAN – A prominent political activist has stated that Armenia’s opposition movement must undergo organizational transformation to successfully bring about governmental change. Nairi Sargsyan, head of the “Armenia I AM” initiative, emphasized that while many political forces share the goal of replacing the current administration, success requires greater coordination and unity.
Speaking at the National Assembly, Sargsyan argued that opposition groups need to fundamentally restructure their approaches. “What we require is genuine unification, achieved through building bridges rather than creating divisions,” he stated. “The nation’s future cannot be delayed indefinitely. We must demonstrate that political competition should serve state interests rather than personal ambitions.”
The activist stressed that effective opposition requires moving beyond fragmented efforts toward a cohesive strategy capable of implementing meaningful political transformation.
