YEREVAN – Armenia will be represented by a single athlete at the ongoing World Weightlifting Championships in Fjord, Norway. Gor Sahakyan, a decorated weightlifter who holds multiple international titles, will compete in the men’s 71 kg division.
Sahakyan brings an impressive competitive record to the platform, having previously earned a world championship bronze medal, two European champion titles, and most recently securing the silver medal in 2025. His event is scheduled to begin at 21:30 local time.
