ARCHBISHOP GALSTANYAN ISSUES PRISON LETTER CONDEMNING JUDICIAL ACTIONS

From his confinement in the Yerevan-Kentron penitentiary, Archbishop Galstanyan, head of the Holy Struggle movement, has released a written statement. In it, he delivers a forceful critique of recent judicial proceedings, which he describes as a predatory manifestation of injustice.

The clergyman’s letter asserts that the authorities have “dipped their hands in the blood of the righteous,” referencing a specific court decision from August 21. He characterizes the legal actions as an execution of accusatory power, carried out at any cost and serving a master other than the people.

While acknowledging a lost battle in the struggle against what he terms “Evil,” the Archbishop expresses confidence that the ultimate victory will belong to justice and love. He frames his imprisonment as an honor, stating a preference to share the path of his “fathers” who were also convicted, rather than to be complicit.

The message concludes with a spiritual warning, invoking a psalm that promises divine retribution against the wicked, whose ways will be met with darkness and temptation.
