COURT EXTENDS DETENTION OF ARCHBISHOP FOR ADDITIONAL MONTH

A court has ruled to prolong the preventive detention of Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan by one month. The clergyman was initially taken into custody on June 28, with his detention subsequently extended for ten days, set to expire on September 6. Due to the fact that September 6 falls on a non-working day, the judicial review concerning the extension of the precautionary measure was conducted earlier.
