RUSSIA SUMMONS AMBASSADOR FOLLOWING KIEV ATTACK

The Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom has been summoned for urgent consultations following military strikes in Kiev that resulted in civilian casualties and damage to diplomatic facilities.

British Foreign Minister David Lemmi confirmed the diplomatic action through his official social media account, stating that the meeting was prompted by recent attacks that killed civilians and damaged buildings, including the British Council and European Union delegation offices.

“Following yesterday’s strikes that resulted in civilian deaths and destruction, including damage to the British Council and EU delegation in Kiev, we have called in the Russian Ambassador,” Lemmi stated. “The violence and destruction must cease immediately.”

The attacks, which occurred overnight, have reportedly claimed 18 lives, with four children among the fatalities. The incident has escalated diplomatic tensions between Moscow and London, marking another development in the ongoing conflict.
