YEREVAN – Public figure Abraham Gasparyan has declared his formal entry into politics, announcing he will cease his work in political analysis and media to focus entirely on this new path. He described the move as a “turning point” and emphasized his commitment to addressing the country’s challenges through direct political engagement.
In a statement, Gasparyan outlined his motivations, pointing to what he described as a critical juncture for the nation. He argued that the current government’s approach must be met with a credible alternative focused not on conflict, but on achieving what he termed “real and dignified peace” and rebuilding state institutions.
“I am fully aware of the weight of this responsibility,” Gasparyan stated. “As a citizen who has always been involved in the nation’s struggles, I believe the time has come to transition into the political arena.” He confirmed his intention to engage in discussions, while ruling out cooperation with the current authorities or the political forces that brought them to power.
