In a postponed fixture from the second round of the Fastex Premier League, Ararat-Armenia secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Alashkert in a match played at the FFA Academy.
Alashkert initially took the lead, but Ararat-Armenia responded with two unanswered goals to claim the win. The decisive strikes came from Arayik Eloyan and Hugo Oliveyran in the 32nd and 56th minutes, respectively. Alashkert managed a late consolation goal from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time.
With this result, the team managed by Manuel Tulipa collects three points, moving them into second place in the league standings with a total of 14 points. Despite the loss, Alashkert remains at the top of the table, holding a one-point advantage with 15 points.
