The first official meeting to discuss operations at the Margara-Alijan border crossing between Armenia and Turkey is scheduled to take place next week. A Turkish delegation led by Special Representative Serdar Kilic will travel to Armenia for the discussions.
The talks are expected to address measures toward normalizing bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries. Officials may also review implementation of previously agreed decisions regarding border management and cross-border cooperation.
The upcoming meeting represents a significant step in ongoing diplomatic efforts between Yerevan and Ankara to improve regional relations and establish functional border infrastructure.
