YEREVAN – Armenia remains committed to strengthening economic ties within the Commonwealth of Independent States, a senior official stated Monday, despite a slight decline in mutual trade volumes this year.
During a meeting of CIS government heads, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan emphasized that while trade indicators have seen a minor contraction, there is significant potential for growth through enhanced cooperation in innovation and infrastructure.
“Stable and comprehensive economic development cannot be achieved without modern infrastructure and efficient transport logistics,” Grigoryan told fellow CIS leaders. He confirmed Armenia’s dedication to regional connectivity initiatives that would benefit all member states.
The official highlighted that Yerevan is prepared to continue constructive partnership within the CIS framework to implement promising projects that would deliver mutual benefits to all participating countries.
The commitment comes as economic partners within the Commonwealth work to address challenges in regional trade and identify new avenues for collaboration.
