Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has extended congratulations to Moldovan President Maia Sandu following her party’s success in recent parliamentary elections.
In a social media statement, the Armenian leader expressed warm congratulations to both President Sandu and the Moldovan people, noting the significance of the election outcome for the country’s European trajectory.
Preliminary results from Moldova’s September 28 parliamentary elections indicate a strong performance by the pro-European Action and Solidarity Party, which secured approximately 50% of the vote. The competing pro-Russian electoral bloc reportedly garnered support from about 24% of voters.
The election outcome is seen as reinforcing Moldova’s continued orientation toward European integration, a path that has defined the country’s foreign policy direction in recent years.
