AZERBAIJAN SIGNALS PROGRESS IN BORDER TALKS WITH ARMENIA

In an address to the United Nations, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that negotiations with Armenia have produced encouraging outcomes, attributing the progress to discussions focused specifically on border matters. The president emphasized that the dialogue has proceeded without external interference, despite what he described as various provocations.

Aliyev confirmed that Azerbaijan has presented a draft peace agreement founded on five fundamental principles of international law. He further stated that his country is prepared to initiate a new chapter in bilateral relations, grounded in mutual acknowledgment of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
