BRITISH FOREIGN OFFICE SUMMONS RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR OVER NATO AIRSPACE VIOLATIONS

The British Foreign Office has called in Russian Ambassador Andrei Kellin for urgent consultations following multiple violations of NATO member states’ airspace by Russian drones.

According to official statements, the diplomatic summons came in response to what authorities describe as unprecedented incursions into allied airspace. The situation escalated when Romania’s Foreign Minister confirmed that the country’s air force had tracked a Russian drone entering Romanian territory, with two F-16 fighter jets monitoring the aircraft until it exited national airspace.

The incidents follow earlier reports from Warsaw indicating approximately twenty Russian drones had penetrated Polish airspace earlier this month. These repeated violations have prompted formal diplomatic protests from London, reflecting growing concerns among NATO members about regional security and territorial sovereignty.
