Human rights defender Ruben Melikyan has raised concerns about judicial proceedings in a case involving the Armenian Apostolic Church’s Shirak Diocese. According to his statement, the court dismissed five separate legal arguments challenging the legality of a search conducted at the church premises.
The defense team had presented multiple claims that the search operation violated legal procedures and should therefore be declared invalid. However, the presiding judge reportedly rejected all challenges, providing what was described as unusual reasoning for the decisions.
This development has prompted speculation about potential predetermined outcomes in the ongoing legal matter. Observers note that the judicial handling of the case continues to draw scrutiny as proceedings advance toward a resolution.
