DAUGHTER OF DETAINED VILLAGE OFFICIAL DETAILS NIGHTTIME RAID AND PLEADS FOR FATHER’S RELEASE

The daughter of a detained village administrator has issued a public appeal describing a traumatic nighttime raid on her family home and pleading for her father’s release, citing her own deteriorating health.

In a social media post, Milena Minasyan recounted that several men entered their home around 4:30 AM. She stated she awoke to find four individuals standing over her, while her younger siblings, including a three-year-old brother, were also awakened. According to her account, the individuals then proceeded to another room where they were seen handling her grandfather, who she described as her guardian and suffering from a serious illness.

Minasyan claims the individuals did not present identification in the home but identified themselves as being from a specific police department. She wrote that the event left her younger siblings deeply distressed and that the men made threatening remarks, including that “everything would be taken away” from them and that her father “will rot in prison.”

Her father, Gor Minasyan, the administrative head of Tatev village, has been in custody for 78 days. His daughter expressed despair over the situation, questioning why she was “born in a country where there was no justice.”

The appeal took a poignant turn as Minasyan revealed a personal health crisis. She stated that her doctors have advised her to undergo immediate surgery for the third time, a procedure she has refused. She explained her refusal by saying she will not proceed “as long as my father is not by my side,” adding that she does not wish “to walk alone without my father.”

The post also alleges ongoing harassment, claiming that she and her siblings are frequently followed by a “black car,” incidents she says she has recorded.

Concluding her emotional statement, Minasyan directly appealed to the public, the Prosecutor General, and the Minister of Justice, asking them to intervene and ensure she can see her father “without fear.”
