DOHA – The Egyptian President has urged Arab and Islamic nations to establish a joint mechanism to address security, political, and economic challenges facing the region. Speaking at an extraordinary summit in Doha on September 15, the leader emphasized the necessity of a coordinated approach to strengthen collective positions and take appropriate measures in conflict resolution.
The President stressed that the sovereignty of all Arab and Islamic countries must be protected, from the Gulf to the Atlantic Ocean. He affirmed that any infringement on state sovereignty would not be tolerated, and efforts toward achieving peace would be safeguarded.
The summit was convened earlier this month in the Qatari capital, where regional officials gathered to discuss pressing issues. During the meeting, Qatar condemned a recent strike on a Hamas political office, labeling it a serious violation of international law and norms.
