Kylian Mbappé has broken a major commercial record at Real Madrid, surpassing the jersey sales previously set by Cristiano Ronaldo during his tenure with the club. According to data from a European sports marketing study, the French forward’s number 10 shirt sold an unprecedented 345,000 units within just 48 hours of its release.
This achievement eclipses not only Ronaldo’s benchmark from his time with the Spanish giants between 2009 and 2018, but also exceeds Mbappé’s own previous record set while wearing the number 9 shirt.
Since joining Real Madrid as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024, the 26-year-old has made a significant impact on the field as well. He has appeared in 60 matches for the club, scoring 45 goals and providing 5 assists during his debut season.
