YEREVAN – A sum of 5,019,829 drams has been allocated for youth education in the Lori region through the “The Power of One Dram” corporate social responsibility program for the month of September. The funds will support the “Specialization” program at the “Moonq” Technoschool, which relocated from Artsakh and is now operating in Armenia. The initiative is expected to provide professional training to more than 120 young people in their local community.
For October, the program has selected the “My Forest Armenia” NGO as its beneficiary. The organization will implement its “Symphonic Forest” project, a unique initiative combining environmental conservation with cultural activities.
A representative from the companies involved highlighted the significance of the partnership. “My Forest Armenia has been a valued partner, and our previous collaborations have led to the planting of over 30,000 trees,” the representative stated. “The ‘Symphonic Forest’ project is particularly special as it merges culture and nature, and we are confident it will resonate with our supporters. Throughout October, for every transaction made via our platforms, one dram will be donated to this cause.”
The afforestation concept was initiated by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, which is marking its 20th anniversary. A special concert is scheduled for October 23 to symbolically launch the new forest, with IDBank serving as the general sponsor. Attendees will contribute to the forest by purchasing a ticket, with each ticket representing a tree to be planted.
The director of “My Forest Armenia” emphasized the importance of long-term environmental efforts. “Collaborating with ‘The Power of One Dram’ since 2022 has shown that joint action drives meaningful change,” the director noted. “While immediate needs are pressing, it is crucial to also invest in the future. Forests are essential for sustaining water resources and soil quality for generations to come.”
To participate in the program, customers can make payments using the Idram and IDBank mobile application, their online banking platforms, or through the companies’ payment terminals. Each transaction will trigger a one-dram donation to the selected monthly cause.
