A comprehensive exhibition dedicated to the legendary French-Armenian singer and actor Charles Aznavour has opened in Yerevan, featuring approximately 250 rare artifacts that trace the artist’s remarkable career and cultural impact.
The exhibition presents a diverse collection of memorabilia including rare photographs, international periodicals, commemorative publications, vinyl records, and original film posters. Organized into four thematic sections spanning Aznavour’s extensive career, the display includes 50 unique photographs, approximately 100 records in various formats, and more than 30 original movie posters from France and other countries.
Visitors can explore dozens of multilingual magazines and periodicals featuring Aznavour on their covers from the 1950s through the 2000s. The collection also includes commemorative medals, stamps, badges, postcards, and other items celebrating the artist’s legacy. Particularly noteworthy are the personally signed postcards and vinyl records from various periods of Aznavour’s career.
Following its Yerevan presentation, a selection of these artifacts will travel to Gyumri for additional public viewing. After the exhibition concludes, organizers intend to donate the entire collection to the Charles Aznavour Museum in Yerevan for both permanent display and future temporary exhibitions.
The exhibition opened to the public on May 22nd and will remain available for viewing through July 22nd at the National Museum-Institute of Architecture named after Alexander Tamanyan.
