YEREVAN – The National Assembly Council met on Friday to finalize arrangements for the upcoming parliamentary session. Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan presided over the gathering, which focused on organizational matters.
Lawmakers reviewed and approved the draft agendas for both the tenth session of the current convocation and the regular parliamentary meetings scheduled for September 8. The Council established the order in which forty-two separate agenda items will be debated during the upcoming proceedings.
In personnel matters, the ruling “Civil Agreement” faction put forward Arusyak Julhakyan as their nominee for a position on the competition council responsible for candidate selection. The opposition “Armenia” and “I Have the Honor” factions declined to present alternative candidates, resulting in Julhakyan’s appointment to the body.
The Council also received and reviewed a comprehensive report detailing inter-parliamentary cooperation activities conducted during the previous session.
