Authorities in Armenia’s Shirak region have apprehended a 31-year-old resident from Akhuryan village on suspicion of drug possession. The arrest occurred on October 6 following investigative operations in the area.
During a personal search conducted by law enforcement, officers discovered over 22 grams of a yellow-green substance believed to be marijuana. The suspect reportedly acknowledged the substance was cannabis intended for personal consumption.
Investigative materials concerning the Akhuryan resident have been forwarded to appropriate judicial authorities for further legal proceedings. The case remains under investigation as officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged drug offense.
