YEREVAN – A major breakthrough has been made in a homicide investigation after a business card discovered at a gym led authorities to a suspect.
Following the initiation of a criminal case, investigators located a business card at a fitness center, which was subsequently submitted as evidence. This piece of evidence was crucial in identifying an individual believed to be responsible for a killing.
In a coordinated operation, law enforcement officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs apprehended another individual connected to the case. After being taken into custody, this person provided a confession and revealed the location of a rifle used in the commission of the crime. The weapon was subsequently seized by the investigator.
The suspect now faces a public criminal prosecution on charges including Murder under Article 155 of the Criminal Code and the illegal circulation of weapons under Article 335.
It is a fundamental legal principle that an accused individual is presumed innocent until their guilt is proven in a court of law through a legally sound judicial process.
