PUTIN, NETANYAHU HOLD TALKS ON MIDDLE EAST STABILITY

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation to discuss key developments in the Middle East. The leaders addressed a range of regional issues, including the ongoing situation surrounding the Palestinian question and international efforts related to Iran’s nuclear program.

During the call, the Russian side reiterated its long-standing stance in favor of a comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The conversation also touched upon the need to achieve stability in Syria.

In a separate exchange, the Israeli leader extended birthday wishes to President Putin, who in turn conveyed greetings to the people of Israel on the occasion of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
