The Spanish Super Cup will once again be staged in Saudi Arabia, marking the fourth straight year the prestigious tournament will be hosted in the Middle Eastern nation. The competition will follow the established “final four” format, featuring the top teams from Spain’s domestic competitions.
Participating clubs include the champion and runner-up from La Liga, along with the finalists from the Copa del Rey. This year’s lineup will see Barcelona and Real Madrid, who finished first and second in the league standings, joined by Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, who placed third and fourth respectively.
The semifinal matches are scheduled for January 7th and 8th, with the championship final set for January 11th. The specific match pairings will be determined by a draw. Barcelona enters as the defending champion, having claimed the trophy in the previous edition of the tournament.
