TRUMP ADMINISTRATION UNVEILS 20-POINT GAZA PEACE PROPOSAL

A new 20-point peace initiative for Gaza has been presented by the White House. The proposal outlines a path to an immediate cessation of hostilities, conditional on acceptance by both involved parties.

Key provisions of the plan stipulate that Israeli forces will not maintain an occupation or seek to annex the enclave. The Gaza Strip is designated to become a demilitarized zone, ensuring it poses no security threat to neighboring states.

A central element of the agreement is the swift return of all hostages, which is to occur within 72 hours of the deal’s public acceptance. In a reciprocal measure, Israel would then release 250 Palestinian prisoners and 1,700 Gaza residents who have been detained since the conflict escalated in October 2023.

Furthermore, the United States has committed to facilitating direct talks between Israeli and Palestinian representatives. The objective of this dialogue is to establish a political framework for a peaceful and mutually prosperous future.

The proposal asserts that the ongoing conflict will conclude immediately upon mutual agreement to its terms.
