Former U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated that securing Hamas’s agreement on a proposed plan could now be more straightforward, suggesting the militant group’s significantly weakened leadership might facilitate negotiations.
Trump noted that the current situation differs substantially from previous engagement attempts, pointing to extensive casualties and changes within the organization. He stated that dealing with what he called “completely different people” could alter the dynamics of discussions.
The former president emphasized that the time has come for Hamas to accept the proposed arrangement, highlighting what he described as a transformed landscape following substantial losses among the group’s senior figures.
