U.S. PREPARES NEW SANCTIONS ON RUSSIAN BANKS AND OIL SECTOR

The United States is preparing to impose strict new sanctions targeting Russian banks and oil-related customs duties, according to statements made by former President Donald Trump. In a recent interview, Trump indicated that American patience with Russia is rapidly diminishing.

“We will implement severe sanctions against financial institutions and will target oil and customs operations,” Trump stated, emphasizing the comprehensive nature of the planned measures. He referenced previous tariff actions against India for purchasing Russian oil as an example of his administration’s approach, while noting India’s previous status as a major partner.

Regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Trump expressed uncertainty about Russia’s current willingness to pursue a settlement. He suggested that while Ukrainian leadership appears ready for resolution, Moscow’s position remains unclear. The former president characterized the situation as similar to previous patterns and indicated that American tolerance for Russia’s actions is quickly diminishing based on developments in Ukraine.
