UKRAINE’S PRESIDENT OUTLINES $120 BILLION PRICE TAG FOR WAR EFFORT

The financial cost of sustaining Ukraine’s military campaign for another year has been estimated at $120 billion, according to the country’s leadership. Half of this substantial amount, approximately $60 billion, would need to be secured from international partners, while the remaining portion would be covered through the national budget.

The Ukrainian head of state presented two possible scenarios moving forward, with one option involving the continuation of military operations requiring this significant financial commitment. The alternative path would involve bringing the conflict to a conclusion.

The substantial funding requirement highlights the ongoing economic challenges facing the nation as it continues its defensive efforts. The search for international financial support remains a critical component of the country’s strategic planning for the coming year.
